Adrenalin Games

Had a good game of paintball with PUPS and Going Postal this Sunday at Adrenalin Games in Exeter. It was good fun, but no one seemed to be playing at their best. It was the most painful games I’ve played to date, got some nice bruises to prove it too! Out of all the fields I’ve played so far, this had to be one of the best areas I’ve played on. It’s mainly based in an urban setting with loads of real obstacles such a cars, tanks and brick house ruins. I may be slightly biased or just bad at spotting targets in a forest of trees, but I’m not normally one for woodsball scenario paintball.

I got some nice kills in, I took out 2 in one go with a nice flank manoeuvre while attacking on the Fuel Dump field. I also got a team kill too on another game, WHOOPS! I was having loads of problems with my marker shooting all over the place that evening, and the time it decides to shoot on target is when a team member is retreating player looks as though they are running up the field. Never mind!

This practice session gave us all time to get our kit ready for the Final Conflict game coming up. I had recently upgraded my marker with a QEV, so I changed my dwell from 52 down to the recommended 22 and got it chronoed at 263 fps. With all the problems and drop off I experienced during that game, I decided to stick the dwell up to 42 and get some new paint or at least a better fitting barrel and insert!
